Ashley Martin Dressage - No yanking. No cranking.
Thanks for visiting!
Ashley Martin started her riding career when her parents bought her a set of 3 riding lessons for her 12th birthday. From then on she was hooked.

At 16, Ashley became a working student for USDF 4th level certified trainer Lynn McQueeney. She spent her afternoons and evenings after school rolling hundreds of polo wraps and cooling out dozens of horses in exchange for lessons and training on her Appaloosa mare and the occasional invite to Mette Rosencrantz's barn in Malibu.

At 18, Ashley was hired on by a local feed and tack store where she worked for 7 years underneath an equine nutritionist, learning all about what we should feed our horses and why.

At 24, Ashley was hired on to be the assistant trainer at Serrano Creek Equestrian Center.  She also started riding with USDF 4th Level Certified instructor, USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist & FEI rider Susan Hoffman-Peacock of Hidden River Ranch (http://www.dressagepeacock.com), finishing an apprenticeship here and getting S.P.U.R.S. certified.

Ashley Martin is now the head trainer of Ashley Martin Dressage at Serrano Creek Ranch Equestrian Center in Lake Forest, Ca. (http://serranocreekranch.com/) She currently holds her USDF Bronze Medal, with scores towards her silver which she hopes to have complete this year. She has clinic-ed with Erin Blazick, Linda Trimm, James Shaw,  Jane Weatherwax, Jesus Piris, Conrad Schumacher, David Hunt, Barbro Ask-Upmark etc., spent a year and a half taking regular instruction from Karen Ball (http://www.eeconcepts.com/) and is currently taking instruction from trainer Sandra Hansen. One can never stop learning!

Instructing all levels beginning through FEI.  Ashley teaches riders proper balance, throughness and connection to help get horses to their best potential. Planning realistic goals within realistic time frames, her lessons are both involved and fun, focusing on making sure each rider understands the principles of dressage, accurate and proper use of the aids and correct biomechanics. Your own horse, a school horse, showing or just wanting to be the best rider you can be, all are welcome.
